Why would you use a RippinWalleye casting spoon and/or rip jig?

Because a rip jigs action mimics that of the minnow producing a strong reaction bite. This bite can put more and bigger fish in your boat and at any time of day without the use of live bait. Walleye are piscivores (fish-eaters) and will eat any species of fish they can catch including many species of minnows, their most common food. Below is a photo of the common shiner: member of the minnow family (cyprinidae).
